Frequently Asked Questions

What should we wear?

Think layers, textures, colors that feel like you. Avoid logos and matching outfits head-to-toe. I'll send you a full style guide after booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if my children refuse to cooperate?

They all do, at some point. That's not a problem — it's usually where the best photos come from. We go at your pace.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if the weather is unfavourable for an outdoor shoot?

We've got options. If the forecast is looking rough, we can move the session indoors — your home is actually one of my favorite places to shoot. The morning light through your kitchen window, the chaos of your actual living room — that's the real stuff. If you'd rather wait for a sunny day, we can reschedule with no hassle. Outdoor family sessions are at the mercy of the sky, and I build that flexibility into every booking. We'll figure it out together, whatever makes the most sense for your family that day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do we shoot?

Wherever feels like you. Your backyard, a favorite park, the neighborhood you walk every evening. I'm happy to suggest spots too. One of my favorite things about my work is location scouting. I have lots of local suggestions. I am also open to travel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer mini sessions?

Yes! Several times a year I host mini session events at carefully chosen locations: a sunflower field, a lakeside at golden hour, a Christmas tree farm. The setting does a lot of the heavy lifting, and the results are always something a little special. Spots are limited and go to my VIP and past clients first, then posted to social media, and email.

Let's document your family's story

I like to think of what I do as gentle guidance toward genuine moments. We'll move through the session with intention. I'll suggest a walk, a pause, a way to gather and within that structure, your family gets to just be. The laughter, the tenderness, the small unrepeatable things that happen between people who love each other — that's what I'm watching for. My role is to set the scene and stay ready. Yours is just to show up.
